Top form in extreme situations.

It masters the demanding terrain of the Austrian Ötztal Alps with ease. Anyone driving the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 will quickly notice why this is one of the outstanding exponents of the 3.5-ton van range. Whether panel van or flatbed, the new Sprinter 4x4 unfolds its full potential especially in extreme situations - on bumpy forest paths, through mud and snow or on narrow pass roads.

Adventure or everyday life: the new Sprinter 4x4 is perfect.

The new Sprinter 4x4 remains in control during challenging mountain trips thanks to its selectable all-wheel drive. In normal operation, the van is driven via the rear wheels. When adverse road conditions occur, the two-wheel drive quickly turns into four-wheel drive - at the touch of a button. The drive power of the Sprinter 4x4 is then distributed between the front and rear axles at a ratio of 35 to 65. Instead of using mechanical differential locks, the van's all-wheel-drive works using the Electronic Traction System 4ETS. If one or more wheels lose traction on slippery surfaces, 4ETS automatically brakes the spinning wheels with short impulses, thus increasing the drive torque on the wheels with good traction.
